4) If you are about to have work done to your home or business and would like to check on the status of a business license for the contractor just call Richlands Town Hall at 276-964-2566 with the contractors name and we will give you the status of the license.
5) The Richlands Town Council adopts a new policy on outside agency funding requests. Any agency requesting funding from the Town of Richlands must submit the completed Application and the signed copy of the Policy in order to be considered for any funding during the next fiscal year. The application period is from January 1, 2027 to January 31, 2027 to be considered for the 2027-2028 Fiscal Year Budget. Please call Town Hall with any questions.

7) A new Resource is available to small businesses as significant weather and disaster events impact your business called Small Business Readiness for Resiliency R4R Program. Click the Link for details and contact information if you feel your small business could benefit from this program.

9) Notice that on or about Wednesday, May 27, 2026 the Town of Richlands will submit a request to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) for the release of CDBG Community Service Facility funds under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 – Title I: Community Development (PL 93-383), as amended, to undertake a project known as Richlands Urgent Need, for the purpose of replacing a generator at the Richlands wastewater plant.
